We acknowledged 31 years of service when was said farewell to Alf Miller, a member of our Production Team Leader Group. Part of our Bend and Press production team, he was a steady pair of hands and supported the team to perform at a high level. Alf is pictured with Alice Ambrose-Thurman (Director).

Men’s Health Week (MHW) is designed to give all boys and men access to the information, services and treatment they need to live healthier, longer and more fulfilling lives. This year the theme is to highlight the importance of taking stock of your overall health now that the worst of Covid-19 is over.

While the pandemic has taken so much focus, it is important to be conscious of other serious health conditions, so, for this year’s Men’s Health Week, which runs 12-18 June it’s time for men everywhere, to give themselves an MOT.

At Faltec Europe Ltd health and wellbeing is very much part of our employee proposition, and we work in partnership with Sunderland City Council who have visited us to undertake health assessments, in addition to our own onsite weekly Nurse visit for occupation health checks and counselling support.

What a wonderful time was spent in the company of our Chairman, Mr Tanaka on a visit from our head office in Japan. Mr Tanaka, together with our other Directors hosted a Coffee & Conversation event where our Chairman spoke of his career journey, which extends some 37 years.

Guests included colleagues from our Production, Stores, Production Control, HR and General Affairs departments, with service ranging from 1 year to 31 years, who all contributed to the conversation.
